Using ElementsGPT you can ask questions and have a conversation with your Org metadata and more. It can return text, images, and files as part of the answer to help you discover more about your Org.

Prerequisites

  • Enterprise space with ElementsGPT activated, or

  • Consulting license with ElementsGPT activated, working in an Enterprise/Consulting space

  • Editor rights on a synced Org model

What is Org Copilot?

ElementsGPT Org Copilot is an AI powered assistant that helps you understand your Org better, and faster. You can "converse" with your Org, and it will write queries and analyse data for you. It can generate charts, images, and CSV files for you to help you with data visualisation and analysis.

There are two copilots available, the Metadata and Dependencies Copilot, and the Permissions Copilot. You can use the tabs along the top of the window to navigate between the two.

Each Copilot has its own distinct dataset powering it, so for example you can't ask about Permissions when you're in the Metadata and Dependencies Copilot, and vice versa (well, you could, but it won't know the answers!).

Metadata and Dependencies Copilot

The Metadata and Dependencies Copilot contains data on all the metadata and dependencies in your Org.

Permissions Copilot

The Permissions Copilot contains data on the entity and user permissions in your Org, as well as required fields.

Data is refreshed every time a new sync runs, so if you have recently changed your Org since the last sync simply rerun a sync for the latest updates to be reflected in the Copilot.

TIP: Click here for more information on the data contained in both Copilots.

How to use the Org Copilot

Opening the Copilot

To open the Copilot, navigate to (and open) the Org you want to "chat" with. In the top right hand corner click on the "Ask Org Copilot" button.

This will open the Copilot window as seen below.

Note: If your Org does not automatically sync daily you may see the following message:

Simply run a sync and wait for the assistant to complete generating.

Start a new conversation

Select "Start New Chat" button in the top left hand corner of the window to begin a new chat.

If you have older saved conversations you may be able to continue those conversations. If the chat has timed out you will need to start a new one, but you always still be able to read the older saved ones.

You can start the conversation by typing a question in the "Question" field at the bottom of the window. Press the blue arrow to send the question.

Downloading images and files

To save an image, you can right-click (two finger-click on Mac) and "Save As...".

If you ask the Copilot to generate you CSV files, you can download them simply by clicking on the blue file link provided.

Deleting saved chats

You can delete a saved chat by selecting it in the left hand panel, and clicking the trash/bin icon that appears.

Note that this is an irreversible action, and deleted chats cannot be restored.

Tips and guidance

REMINDER: This is an AI powered feature, and information provided may be inaccurate. It is good practice to verify results and prompt further investigation.

  • The first answer may not look right, or you might be unsure how it arrived there. Prompt further (e.g. "Are you sure?"), or ask the Copilot to explain how it calculated the answer. This will trigger a more thoughtful response from the system.

  • As with all AI systems, the more specificity in your question, the better.

  • If you want charts/images to be generated, be specific as to what you want to see (e.g. axis names, colours, title, data timeframes). If it isn't what you're looking for, ask it to regenerate the image with more instructions.

  • If you want CSVs to be generated, you can tell the Copilot which columns and data you want included.
